Going through the year end files for the 20 Ontario Hockey League teams, I was struck by how many 2nd round draft picks for the 2020 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection have been traded, shifted, shuffled, re-acquired and then dealt again though the years leading up to Saturday's draft.
The list below is done alphabetically for each division.
It's certainly not in chronological order, and it's far from 100% accurate, ( did Sarnia really acquire Windsor's 2nd rounder three different times ?….& how often did the Steelheads 2nd get flipped ? ) but rather it serves as a staggering illustration of how frequently 2nd round picks for the 2020 OHL Priority Selection got swapped before draft day arrives.

The other note of interest is to see who exactly gets selected with Owen Sound's 4th round selection.
You know the story……………….
Owen Sound sent a conditional 7th round draft pick to Oshawa in exchange for Goalkeeper Nathan Torchia in the Summer of 2018.
The condition was that the pick would become a 4th round pick in 2020 if Torchia was with the Attack at a certain point in the season ( The Attack claimed at one point the deadline for the condition to kick in was around Christmas…that's what they told me )
As it turned out, Torchia took the warm up for the season opener in 2018 at Barrie on September 20th, served as the backup for Mack Guzda for that one game and then was released by the club in favor of Andrew MacLean.
Oshawa didn't see the conditions on the original 7th the same way Owen Sound did, and based on Torchia performing for 15 minutes in the warmup, the Generals eventually sent the 7th cum 4th round pick to Sarnia for Anthony Salinitri.
Around this time, Owen Sound started to scream ” foul “.
Undaunted, Sarnia took the Owen Sound 4th round pick they acquired from the Generals and sent it to Sudbury as part of the deal for Anthony Tabak.
Now, Owen Sound is really agitated.
And then prior to this season, the Wolves took that 4th round Owen Sound pick in 2020 and sent it to North Bay in exchange for netminder Christian Purboo.
So as far as I know, North Bay will utilize Owen Sound's 4th round pick on Saturday, and whoever the Battalion take will be the answer to a complex trivia question.
