It wasn't the game the Saugeen Shores Winterhawks set out to play.
The Hawks were edged by the Seaforth Centennaires, 3-2 in WOAA Senior action.
It boiled down to penalties.
Of the 16 that were called, 11 went to the Hawks.
Coach Matt Turcotte says it was for the play of goalie Jeff Flagler, the game would have been far out of reach.
Turcotte says his team is better than they showed and they should have scored a lot more that two goals.
Those two goals came from Blake Underwood and Miles MacLean.
That's it for the Hawks until next Friday, January 24th when they play their final home game of the regular season, against the Lucknow Lancers.
