Owen Sound Minor Lacrosse Boys Tiffins Cleaning U16s played their inaugural field lacrosse games in Kitchener on Saturday.
In game 1 vs Orilllia, who is undefeated for the season, Owen Sound ‘ s U16s lost 13 – 11.
Brody Caskenette scored 5 goals, Hayden Coulter scored 2 goals, and singles were added by Josh Hamill, Keegan McIlmoyle, Luke Grimoldby and Dom Millman. Luke Grimoldby had 4 assists.
In game 2 versus Peterborough #2, goaltender Colin Kitto narrowly missed a shutout as Peterborough #2 scored their only goal with 5 minutes remaining in the game.
Owen Sound’s U16s went on to win 20 – 1.
Keegan McIlmoyle scored 5 goals, Luke Grimoldby scored 4 goals, Jarret Vandolder and Hayden Coulter scored hat tricks, Josh Hamill scored a pair. Single goals were scored by Tanner Morris, Dom Millman and Brody Caskenette. Luke Grimoldby had 5 assists, while Brody Caskenette and Keegan McIlmoyle each had 3 assists.
