After days of intense politics, Canada looks to have secured a vital supply of face masks from the United States.
Late last night, 3M announced a deal has now been reached that would protect the sending of respirators to Canada.
3M released a statement last week, after receiving a Trump administration order to stop exporting N95 respirators to Canada and Latin America.
The company said it will now import 166.5 million respirators over the next three months, primarily from its manufacturing facility in China.
The Premier issued a statement after the deal with reached, saying “I want to thank 3M and officials on both sides of the border for their support to ensure Canada’s continued access to vital PPE. We are stronger together.”
