The Saugeen Shores Winterhawks can wrap up the WOAA Senior mens “AA” championship against the Tavistock Royals.
The Hawks take a commanding three games to none lead in the best of 7 set, as game four unfolds in Tavistock tonight.
The last time the Hawks had a three game lead, the Shelburne Muskies took the series to the limit.
Winterhawks head coach Don Matheson says this game will be approached as if it’s game one.
He says they’ve got to take the game to them, take lots of shots and stay out of the penalty box.
Matheson says the Royals added a couple of new players Tyler Heimple and Ben Ruthig and he says they’re skilled players.
He says they will be concentrating on these two players to make sure they don’t get a lot of free ice.
Tonight’s game in Tavistock goes at 8:30.
Should a fifth game be necessary it will be played next Friday night at the Southampton Coliseum.
