The Saugeen Shores Winterhawks now lead their best of seven WOAA senior hockey championship series, 3 games to none.
Last night, the Hawks scored a come from behind victory, 5-4 over the Tavistock Royals before a sold out crowd at the Southampton Coliseum.
Forward Curtis Johnson was named player of the game for his hat trick, scoring a goal in each period.
Actually it was a two-man show when it came to goals as Bill Monkman picked up a pair as well.
Johnston says his plan was to go hard to the net and the puck seemed to go in for him last night.
Johnston says it was a hard-fought game that got a little chippy at times.
He says as the series wears on, the players get to know each other and the rivalries build up.
The rivalries will continue tomorrow night in Tavistock for game four.
Should a 5th game be required it will be played next Friday night at the Southampton Coliseum.
