The Brantford Golden Eagles edged the Listowel Cyclones 3-2 in game 4 of their Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League playoff series.
Brantford now has a 3 games to 1 lead in the best-of-seven series.
Game 5 goes tomorrow night in Brantford.

CURLING
Ontario Colts Men’s & Ontario Trophy Women’s Curling at Leaside in Toronto.
Heather Marshall of the Stroud Curling Club and Amie Shackleton of the Ilderton Curling Club each won their respective games yesterday.
Marshall’s rink doubled up Kelly Evans of Port Perry 8-4 while Shackleton beat out Bonnie Hyatt and the Sun Parlour Curling Club also by a score of 8-4.
On the men’s side, Kevin Matheson of the Listowel Curling Club lost to Geoff Johnson of St. Catharines by a score of 9-6.

BOWLING
There were 3 games in yesterday’s Wednesday Morning Ladies Coffee League.
It was Grey Bruce Patio Enclosures over Crown Rust Control 7-0, TheOwen.com defeating Jim Lyons Plumbing 5-2, and Pilkington Roof Top edging Johnson Thompson Motors 4-3.
Linda Corbett had a 210 average while Linda Frye had a 504 triple.

MINOR AND REC HOCKEY
There were 3 games in the Puffer Hockey League last night.
Elaine Moore defeated Rintouls 4-3, Bill Stobbe crushed Tom’s Construction 9-2, and it was Carruthers and Nicols Insurance over Sunlife 5-3.

At the Tiverton Novice LL Tournament on Monday, the Chatsworth Ed McNabb Roofing Rebels lost all three of their games.
In the first game the Rebels were shutout by Mildmay 5-0, in the second game they narrowly lost to Wallace 2-1, and finally fell to the Arran-Elderslie Ice Dogs 4-2.
