The day ended with about 300 people attending the first awards ceremony of this event which took place outside in Downtown Collingwood. The towns official Town Crier, Ken Templeton, opened the event while Collingwood Mayor, Chris Carrier and Mike Dyon, from Brooks, a major sponsor, shared in presenting the medals.
