Update: HAYWOOD SKI NATIONALS
DAY TWO Mon, Mar 9
Individual Start Medium Distance Races
On the second day of competition, in spite of Mother Nature, again delivering a challenge with freezing rain and high winds overnight the volunteers and officials were able to start the races on time. The day ended with about 300 people attending the first awards ceremony of this event which took place outside in Downtown Collingwood. The towns official Town Crier, Ken Templeton, opened the event while Collingwood Mayor, Chris Carrier and Mike Dyon, from Brooks, a major sponsor, shared in presenting the medals.
Downtown Collingwood will host the Athlete’s Banquet at the Eddie Bush Memorial Arena on Friday night and another outdoor Awards Ceremony at 8:00 in front of the Federal Building. Athletes will be led from the Arena to the Federal Building by the Town Crier accompanied by Scottish Pipes.
Official results will be posted on www.zone4.ca Link: Haywood Ski Nationals Mar 9
