There was no surprise blockbuster, but 47 players were moved at the N-H-L’s trade deadline.
The Calgary Flames obtained centre Olli Jokinen (OH’-lee YOH’-kuh-nehn) from Phoenix, and defenceman Jordan Leopold from Colorado.
The Flames were the only team to part with a first-round draft pick.
Calgary will have to make due without Todd Bertuzzi for a while.
He had surgery to repair cartilage in his knee and will be out a month.
The Edmonton Oilers tweaked their roster for the playoff run, adding forwards Ales Kotalik and Patrick O’Sullivan.
Ottawa picked up goalie Pascal Leclaire and a second-round pick from Columbus for forward Antoine Vermette.
The Senators also locked up potential unrestricted free agent defenceman Filip Kuba to a three-year deal.
Toronto added a couple of second-round draft picks by sending Nik Antropov to the New York Rangers and Dominic Moore to Buffalo.
Maple Leafs goalie Vesa Toskala needs season-ending hip and groin surgery, so the Buds grabbed Martin Gerber off waivers from Ottawa.
They also obtained Olaf Kolzig from Tampa Bay, although he is out for the season.
The deal sees the Leafs get a couple of injured bodies to fill cap space, while getting a draft pick in the process.
Not making any moves were the Vancouver Canucks and Montreal Canadiens.
