The Grey Highlands PeeWee Shooting Stars from Markdale finished in first place in the Grey Bruce – Ontario Women’s Hockey Association Regional Playdowns.
In round one — the Stars beat Chatsworth, Owen Sound, Beaver Valley and lost to Meaford.
In Round two — with the top two teams from each Bruce County and Grey County coming head-to-head — the Markdale Stars swept the round, beating Mildmay, Saugeen Shores and Meaford last night.
The Stars will advance to play the top 16 teams in Ontario at the Provincial Championships in Mississauga April 17th to 19th.
