Huron Perth Public Health is providing more details for use the face coverings, ahead of new rules being implemented in the two counties.
Health officials are mandating employers provide face coverings for all staff at businesses open to the public, beginning Friday, July 13th.
HPPH says details about the use of non-medical face masks have been posted on their website, which answers frequently asked questions about the upcoming mandate.
“For employees, screening is best completed prior to reporting to work. For members of the public, signage at all entrances can be used to inform visitors of new protocols during this phase of reopening public buildings.”
As for enforcement of the rules, HPPH says “there is not a requirement that a business turn away the customer. These Instructions are to be enacted and enforced in good faith and should be primarily used as a means to educate people on the importance of face covering use in enclosed spaces.”
The notice comes as Huron and Perth counties are set to enter Stage 3 of the province’s re-opening measures Friday, which includes the reintroduction of indoor dining, gyms, movie theatres, and public playgrounds.
Amusement parks and buffet-style restaurants will remind closed in stage 3, along with table games at casinos, and overnight camps for kids.
