A hot and mostly sunny long weekend meant busy times for police patrolling the water.
South Simcoe Police say they stopped 67 boats on Lake Simcoe this weekend, and laid no charges for drinking or boating offences.
Police say they did ticket six boaters for having alcohol on board.
Another boater faces charges after he beached his vessel in the middle of dozens of people at Northwinds Beach in the town of the Blue Mountains on the weekend.
Police say the man ran his boat aground Saturday afternoon, narrowly missing people who had crowded onto the beach in the hot weather.
The 24 year old man from Richmond Hill was given a $615 fine by the OPP.
