The Saugeen Shores Police are releasing more details about a fatal snowmobile collision along the Bruce-Saugeen Town Line at the Rail Trail crossing.
The operator of the snow-machine — 18-year old Clint Parker of Kincardine — succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by a coroner.
His snowmobile slammed into the rear drivers side of a Ford Explorer at around 5 PM on Sunday evening.
The Ford spun around and ended up in the ditch on the south side of the road. Neither occupant of the vehicle received injuries.
Police, ambulance and the Tiverton Fire Service attended the incident.
An autopsy on Monday determined Parker died from head injuries.
Officers tell Bayshore Broadcasting News a group of riders was out for the day on their snowmobiles and were headed back towards the Kincardine-area.
Parker’s sled wasn’t running properly, and he was travelling far behind the group when the collision occurred.
