South Bruce OPP are asking for your help in solving an incident of mischief at a church in Elmwood.
Sometime between 1 AM and 6:30 AM on September 30th, someone stuck a garden hose into a basement window well at St. John’s Lutheran church, and turned the water on.
It ran until 12:30 PM that day, and flooded the church basement causing between $15,000 and $20,000 in damage.
Anyone with information is asked to call South Bruce OPP or Crime Stoppers.
In a separate incident, South Bruce OPP were called out to a single vehicle crash along Concession 11 in Kincardine Township on October 4th.
Officers attended with Municipality of Kincardine Fire Department and Bruce County EMS to find a Red Ford Econoline van had left the roadway and rolled over before coming to rest in the ditch.
Officers discovered the van had been reported stolen.
An 18 year old man from Kincardine was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000, possession of stolen property, and careless driving.
He is scheduled to appear in court on November 3rd.
