Intrawest is about to become the sole owner of the ski hills at Blue Mountain Resort.
The selling price is 58 million dollars.
Intrawest bought a 50 per cent stake in the resort in 1999 from the Weider family.
Since then, the resort has been operated as a joint venture between Intrawest and Blue Mountain Resorts Holdings, the Weider family-owned company.
Intrawest says it’s not expecting to make significant changes to Blue’s operations or resort personnel.
The transaction is expected to close by the end of the month.
In 2012, Blue Mountain sold a 50 per cent stake in Blue Mountain Village and its remaining unbuilt lands to Skyline Developments for 20 million dollars.
Skyline announced earlier this year, it is building additional residential developments at the base of the ski hills.
