Ontario is launching an online training program that will allow 100,000 job seekers to take health and safety training courses at home which is good for both business and consumer confidence.
Today Premier Doug Ford said the $3 million investment will help workers take free training through Employment Ontario.
“Building the confidence is absolutely critical to getting our economy going again and we couldn’t do it without the support of our incredible Ontario businesses,” said Ford.
Ford also mentioned the Canadian Armed Forces in his address today, who are finishing their mission at Ontario Long Term Care homes. Ford says they are heroes and Ontario is grateful for their help.
Our government is providing FREE health and safety training online for the first time ever in Ontario.
Up to 100,000 job seekers and workers will now have access to essential qualifications through Employment Ontario. https://t.co/B6BLlW0Oct pic.twitter.com/JB57pDcRam
