Some services are resuming at hospitals in the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance, as the trend of new COVID-19 cases continues downward.
On March 20th, visitors were prohibited from accessing hospital sites, unless circumstances were “exceptional.”
Officials with the HPHA say they will be increasing their volume of surgical and imaging procedures through to July 12th, and reintroducing Diabetes Education at the Seaforth Community Hospital.
Ontario Health is requiring hospitals within the HPHA, including those in Clinton and Seaforth, maintain bed availability in the event of a second wave of COVID-19.
“At this point in time, we are required to plan in two-week blocks, which will give us the opportunity to increase services in a thoughtful and sustained manner.”
