A collision near Walkerton has claimed a life.
A section of Highway 9 was closed after South Bruce OPP responded to a fatal collision at the intersection of Highway 9 and Bruce County Road 3 in Brant Township.
Officers arrived at 4:30 PM on Saturday and pronounced one of the drivers dead at the scene.
OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators are assisting the South Bruce detachment with the two vehicle crash.
Highway 9 from Greenock-Brant Townline Road to Wallace Street was closed because of the incident.
The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The investigation is in its early stages, and police will release more details as they become available.
