A brand new Value Village store is set to open in Owen Sound.
It is in the Heritage Grove Shopping Centre on the east end of the Scenic city.
Value Village is the third store to open in the new shopping centre, after Michaels and Winners opened earlier this year.
Store Manager Mark Henderson says the staff of roughly 50 people includes 28 full time workers.
He says they have been working for the last few weeks getting ready for the grand opening on Thursday.
Owen Sound Mayor Deb Haswell was on hand for the ribbon cutting before the store opened at 9 AM.
Henderson says Value Village supports the surrounding community thru a partnership with the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
The company pays the Foundation for every item donated at the store, or picked up by the Kidney foundation regardless of whether it sells or not.
The new Value Village store in Owen Sound is the 56th in Ontario.
