The old LCBO store in Owen Sound is on the market.
According to LCBO Senior Communications Consultant Julie Rosenberg — the old LCBO is a hot property.
Rosenberg says long before they opened their huge new store on 9th Avenue East back in May, potential buyers were inquiring about buying the property.
The property went on sale July 10th, and is listed for 525 thousand dollars.
Owen Sound Mayor Deb Haswell still feels the City should have a second LCBO store — either downtown or on the City’s westside.
Rosenberg tells Bayshore Broadcasting News says that possibility is still afloat — as they will be assessing the impact of the new store in the market to see if a second LCBO could succeed.
As for other potential uses for the building — Rosenberg says that would be up to whoever buys it, but she feels it’s well suited for a number of purposes.
She adds the 1962 building is a good property that has been well maintained.
