Like many of us Huron-Bruce Conservative MP Ben Lobb took time off the Canada Day weekend — but that’s about as far as it goes.
Lobb and his parliamentary colleagues recently completed a marathon voting session in the Commons which saw passage of the Harper government’s controversial budget implementation bill.
MP’s are now on a three-month break but Lobb says here at home it will be anything but relaxing.
He says his calendar is rapidly filling up with meetings and consultations across Huron-Bruce.
Lobb mentions the importance of the summer break because of the input from constituents on a wide range of issues he will bring back with him to Parliament Hill.
He advises us that it’s business as usual in his constituency offices.
Lobb says his offices in Goderich and Port Elgin remain open five days a week throughout the summer for any business you might have with the federal government.
Lobb and his fellow MPs return to Ottawa on September 17th.
