The OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) has been called in to investigate a double murder in the Town of the Blue Mountains.
Blue Mountains OPP Constable Martin Hachey tells Bayshore Broadcasting News they found the two bodies yesterday afternoon (WED) just after 1:30 at a home on Kitzbuhl Crescent.
He says a call came in about a missing person, and when police went to the home to investigate, they found the bodies of an adult male and an adult female.
However, Hachey is tight-lipped about circumstances surrounding the deaths.
He would only say it is early in the investigation, and would not release the details of why police are treating the two deaths as homicides.
He also gave no indication on how long the bodies have been dead, or how long the person had been missing before a call came in.
Hachey says they will have to wait for the results of the autopsies, which will take place in Toronto.
However, the post-mortems have not yet been scheduled.
Hachey says along with the CIB, there is a large number of resources allocated to the investigation.
Hachey is asking anyone who might have information about these murders to contact OPP or CrimeStoppers.
