A 59 year old Barrie man is dead after a two-vehicle collision on County Road 27 in Springwater Township.
At 11:07 am today emergency officials responded to the scene just south of Flos Road 7.
The driver of a Dodge Journey sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The deceased has been identified as Jeffrey Lescard of Barrie.
The driver of a transport truck that was also involved did not sustain any injuries and was taken to hospital as a precaution.
County Road 27, between Flos Roads 7 and 6 remain closed for the investigation.
