Students will be allowed to resume their education in September under one of three scenarios.
The announcement came today via Education Minister Stephen Lecce, who outlined the different options.
They would be regular in-class learning with strict health protocols, at-home learning, or a mix of both with 15 students max per class attending school on alternate days of the week.
“Our plan ensures that whether you live in St. Thomas or Mississauga, Ottawa or Kenora, rural or urban Ontario, school boards have the flexibility to choose what works for their schools, students or teachers,” added Premier Doug Ford.
The plans came together via consultation with health experts.
Lecce adds that the Province will work with area school boards over the summer to come up with regionally-specific plans best honed to their specific needs and the Covid-19 climate of the time.
I’m going live with Premier @fordnation to discuss our plan to return to class in September. Safety is our guiding principle.
