An optimistic outlook today during Ontario’s current stage of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Premier Doug Ford says some tough challenges still lie ahead, but for the most part the Provincial message today was positive.
Health Minister Christine Elliott reinforced that for the 4th day in a row there have been fewer than 200 cases of Covid-19 in Ontario.
And since Tuesday last week there have also been over 1400 fewer active cases of the virus in the province too.
“Because of this shared resolve, we are able to continue to safely reopen our province as each of us adjust to our new normal,” she said.
Elliott adds that Ontarians are now safely enjoying each others company in social circles.
Decisions like if schools will resume in the fall will still be up to the health experts.
Education Minister Stephen Lecce is expected to make an announcement on that soon.
Ontario continues to be the leader in Canada in daily testing for #COVID19, with 24,205 tests processed yesterday. As always, today’s numbers will be available at 10:30 a.m. at https://t.co/ypmgZbVRvn. Check back daily!
