Two police officers were allegedly assaulted during an arrest following a large disturbance in Innisfil.
On Tuesday night, police were called to a plaza in Alcona for a fight involving around 30 young people.
Officers learned that a man had assaulted one person with a crowbar and another victim was punched and threatened.
Police say that when they attempted to arrest the suspect nearby, he wouldn’t get out of his vehicle, resisted arrest and assaulted police.
The two officers were treated for minor head injuries.
A 19 year old Innisfil man faces a list of charges.
South Simcoe Police is appealing for witnesses to come forward. They say some people were spoken to at the scene but others fled.
Police are looking for any cell phone photos or video.
