Charges have been laid after a man in Alliston died from an overdose.
Nottawasaga OPP say earlier this year, on January 30th 45 year old Trevor Benns of Alliston was found dead in a residence on Victoria Street East.
A search warrant was executed yesterday at a residence on Christie Crescent in Barrie, and after a six month long investigation three people have been charged.
A woman from from Barrie and a person from Mississauga have been charged with manslaughter, criminal negligence causing death, and trafficking.
Another person from Barrie has been charged with drug possession offences.
Police seized cocaine, crack cocaine, and fentanyl as part of their search.
