Premier Doug Ford says the province needs to boost confidence amongst the public to help the economy restart.
Instead of rushing the reopening, Ford says things have to planned carefully.
Ahead of more regions reopening this Friday in Stage 2, the Province has released the Covid-19 Safety Plan Guide.
Ford says it’s a toolkit to help give businesses, employees and consumers the confidence they need to resume business as usual.
“This toolkit builds on many supports we have already provided to businesses to help them prepare for reopening,” said Ford. “Including over 133 sector-specific workplace safety guidance documents.”

Ford personally suggests wearing a face mask when you visit businesses, although it’s not mandatory from the Province’s end.
Provincial health authorities say physical distancing is still the best safety measure. He says to police 14 and a half million people for not wearing masks isn’t realistic.
Ford says let’s support local this summer because we have the best of the best businesses right here in Ontario.
Public health trends across the province are moving in the right direction. On Friday June 19, seven more regions in Ontario will move to Stage 2 of reopening. We’re making steady progress to rebuild and reopen as soon as possible. pic.twitter.com/LGY6AzmY5Q
