OPP in Orillia have charged a 58 year old man with possession of and accessing child porn.
This after a four-month investigation into possession of child sexual abuse material.
The arrest came yesterday after a search of an Orillia residence.
The accused, Gerry Hawes, is a long-time local Liberal Party insider who ran unsuccessfully in Simcoe North in the last federal election.
He is due to appear in Orillia Court on August 25th.
