A doctor who practises in Stayner has won an award of excellence from the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
Doctor Sohail Gandhi — who is also the board of directors chair for the Georgian Bay Family Health Team — has been practicing in Stayner since 1992.
The national based award is given out based on doctors outstanding contributions to patient care, their communities, and the profession.
Gandhi will receive the award at the annual meeting at the College in November.
