Georgian College’s Personal Support Worker course is scheduled to begin today at three satellite locations throughout the region.
The two-year, part time course will be offered on Monday and Wednesday evenings and delivered by video-conference.
The three conference sites are at the Walkerton hospital, the Huron East Health Centre in Seaforth, and the Bluewater Rest Home in Zurich.
The South Bruce Grey Health Centre reports the program has been well received.
Vice President of Corporate Development and Labour Relations Brenda Rantz says the program is a great opportunity for local residents to upgrade their skills without travelling to a major centre.
There are still spaces available for the PSW course beginning this evening.
