We now know how much its going to cost the Bruce Grey Catholic School Board to implement its own non government funded full day learning program at Mildmays Sacred Heart elementary school.
The Catholic Board is spending 95 thousand dollars of its own money to fund the program.
Last month trustees decided to not to wait for provincial funding but instead go ahead and fund full day learning out of pocket for the Mildmay school.
Board officials say its to create a level playing field since the public school in Mildmay will also be offering full day learning this Fall.
The 95 thousand dollars is being funded through surplus funds of the School Board.
Its not known yet whether the Catholic Boards 95 thousand dollar decision will be a one or a three year commitment.
Its going to take four years before the provinces early years program is fully implemented across the province.
Hanovers Holy Family School is the only school within the Bruce Grey Catholic District School Board to receive the early years full day learning funding for the upcoming school year.
