A meeting will be held tonight to look at Hanover’s first ever strategic plan. The meeting begins at 7:30 PM in the Council Chambers.
Hanover is trying to map out its future with a strategic plan that will guide the town over the next 15 to 20 years.
That’s why Mayor Kathi Maskell says it’s important that residents attend the meeting.
Maskell says their input is vital — and she encourages citizens to bring their ideas, questions and concerns forward.
This corporate strategic plan is going to encompass everything from business and industry growth to recreation and development expansion.
Hanover has hired a consultant group to put the plan together.
CAO Mike Dunlop calls the 32 thousand dollar venture a smart investment.
Dunlop says Hanover wants to be proactive not reactive and that’s why they want to prepare a plan now.
Tonight’s meeting is the first one to take place, and there will be at least one other public meeting.
There will also be a random phone survey conducted to gauge the direction residents want to see the town move in.
The Corporate Strategic Plan should be complete by September 21st.
