Maybe it was the heat of the day.
Something sparked a confrontation on Highway 10 Sunday night that resulted it a bit of dust up on the main street in Flesherton.
Grey County OPP Constable Steve Starr says the whole incident began when four vehicles were traveling as a group after departing Sauble Beach.
While southbound, a silver Mazda Protg — not part of the group — approached from the rear and passed the trailing car and began to tailgate and drive erratically behind a black Honda in the group.
An SUV then passed and boxed in the Honda, and then a cup of coffee was thrown at the Honda along with rude hand gestures.
When the group reached Flesherton the occupants of the Mazda and SUV got out of their vehicles and assaulted two people in one ofthe another vehicles.
Police say the ruckus was so loud that people came out of their homes threatening to call police.
After the assault, the Mazda took off west on Grey Road 4 — as did the black SUV
Constable Starr is hoping someone from Flesherton who witnessed the altercation took down a licence plate number and will get in touch with the OPP.
