Driving around in Southampton doesn’t usually require a GPS unit.
With warm weather – comes even more construction and road closures.
This time – residents in Southampton are affected, and many home owners will need to pay close attention.
Construction starts Monday on South Rankin Street from Highway 21 to Madwayosh Street in Southampton.
Access to homes in that area will only be available through Turner Street and Blanchfield Road.
Some traffic flow will be possible in the overnight hours.
The restrictions will apply through normal working hours up to and including Friday.
Meanwhile, Gosford Street and Metcalf Street will both be temporarily reopened in order to allow through traffic to Shore Road.
Motorists are reminded to obey all traffic signs and access directions.
