It’s Apple Blossom time in Ayton this weekend.
The third annual Apple Blossom Festival is happening today at the Filsingers Apple Orchard near Ayton.
The event teams up the Filsinger farm and the Ayton Lioness.
One of the coordinators – Carolyn Crandle – says it is always a popular event and even more features have been added this year.
The event runs at the Filsinger three-thousand tree orchard and this year will miss one very important guest.
Alvin Filsinger – the founder of the farm – just recently passed and will be honoured at a tree planting ceremony starting at 9 AM.
Crandle says the event features a large craft show, a petting zoo, clown – the ABATE will have a motorcycle show and shine – as well as an ask the trainer session.
The ask the trainer session will feature Bernie Martin a dog trainer that will answer all of your dog training questions.
Crandle says there is also lots of food being featured with an early bird breakfast – a food booth and a supper rib barbeque with all the fixings.
The farm is located on Grey Road 9 just outside of Ayton with lots of signs posted and starts at 9 AM.
