The location of the new Community Health Centre in Wasaga Beach has officially been revealed.
After much speculation, it was announced on Thursday that the South Georgian Bay Community Health Centre will go at the northwest corner of Ramblewood and 45th Street, as expected.
The centre — the first of its kind in our area — will cater primarily to lower income, at-risk groups who don’t have family doctors.
Executive Director Albert Henriques says the centre is looking to hire 2 family doctors, 2 nurse practitioners and 2 registered nurses, a social worker, dietician, youth counsellor, physiotherapist and mental health worker.
The centre is expected to open in October or November of this year.
