The OPP have now released more information about the arrest of a Teeswater area man.
31 year old Vincent Fitzsimmons was arrested without incident after he was the subject of a massive police manhunt — and was considered armed and dangerous.
South Bruce OPP say they were called to a home on concession 2 in Culross Township on Tuesday after a man — armed with a weapon — assaulted the homeowner and damaged property.
Police say they found Fitzsimmons in a bush area not far from the home.
The 31 year old Central Huron man faces numerous charges including possession of a weapon, break and enter, mischief, assault with a weapon and uttering threats.
South Bruce OPP, the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit, the Emergency Response Team, K-9 and the Criminal Investigation Unit all worked to capture the suspect.
Fitzsimmons has been released from custody and will appear in court again on June 14th.
