Bluewater District School Board officials are on the hunt for a new Communications Co ordinator.
Richard Thomas has announced his resignation due to ‘personal reasons’.
In a letter submitted to the board — Thomas cites ongoing personal issues as the reason and says it in no way is related to his employment with Bluewater.
Thomas began working for the public board eight month ago in September 2009 when it was recommended they hire a communications professional as part of its public outreach.
Chair Jennifer Yenssen says though his time with the board was brief — Thomas was able to begin setting processes in place to help them communicate more effectively and it is with true regret they accept his resignation.
The board has reaffirmed its commitment to having a ‘professional communicator’ on staff and will begin its search for a replacement immediately.
Thomas will remain with the board until the end of the school year.
