It’s an event to get kids back in the museum and having a good time.
The “Night at the Museum” event takes place tonight at the South Grey Museum in Flesherton.
The event starts at 7 PM at the museum and features several activities for all ages of kids – finishing with a viewing of the movie “Night at the Museum”.
There will also be time to stargaze after the movie.
Museum Curator Sarah Redmond says one of the popular events of the night is owl pellet dissecting.
Redmond says it is exactly what it says – kids will open up pellets from owls to find what is inside – the undigested remnants of an owls dinner.
Redmond says this often includes bones from the animals the owl has eaten.
She adds this is a totally sanitary procedure and very entertaining and educational.
Tickets for the event are 10 dollars each and are available at the museum – 40 Sydenham Street in Flesherton.
