Ticket sales are red hot at Meaford Hall.
House Manager Susan Lake says 2010 is shaping up to be a great year.
Already 5 shows have been completely sold out – the Roy Orbison Tribute in January, Charlotte’s Web children’s theatre and Serena Ryder in March, and Whisperin’ Bill Anderson and Forever Diamond: A Tribute to Neil in May.
Lake says while sell outs have happened in the 3 years since Meaford Hall re-opened, they haven’t seen a response like this until now.
She credits the run of success to a better economic climate combined with a growing patron base and the right mix of shows.
Lake says their repeat clientele is growing and they’re also drawing in an audience from a larger area as Meaford Hall becomes known as a premier arts and culture destination.
Lake expects the momentum to carry forward throughout the rest of year with more great events lined up.
She says they’re expecting strong ticket sales for Sarah Harmer in June, Ashley MacIsaac in August, Driving Miss Daisy in August, and the International Film Festival in September.
