It is a book one may have never thought to put to music — Jayne Eyre.
The romantic story is being presented by Owen Sound’s Youth Theatre Coalition called Jane Eyre – a musical drama.
President Tyler Livingstone says it is something that Owen Sound has never seen as it incorporates 19th century language and music.
Livingstone says even with the language the storyline is still easy to follow and very entertaining.
Livingstone says it is a cast of 40 for the presentation — ages 8 through 21 — 55 youth in total with the stage crew.
This is the coalitions second musical they have ever staged.
The performances run Wednesday May 19th to Saturday May 22nd at the OSCVI Auditorium at 7:30 PM.
There is a matinee on Saturday May 22nd at 1:30 PM.
