The Ontario Trillium Foundation has given the Lion’s Head Country Music Festival 15 thousand dollars.
Festival organizers accepted the cheque on Friday.
Bruce-Grey-Owen-Sound MPP Bill Murdoch was on hand to congratulate the Rotary Club of Lion’s Head on their new grant.
Murdoch says events like this create significant economic benefit to the area.
He believes it will be a great festival, and a great time for all.
The grant money will be used to promote the annual music festival, as well to rent sound equipment.
Festival chair Jack Hall says the event is very important to the community, which has steadily grown and attracts people from the region and from the US.
This year’s festival will run from August 20th to the 22nd.
