Collingwood is putting in a bid to host the 2012 Ontario Winter Games.
The province considers the town one of the top four or five spots that run a great event.
The town has been asked to put in an application and council has agreed.
The bid now goes to the provincial government’s criteria committee for consideration and it will likely be 7 or 8 months before a selection is made.
