Local businesswomen now have a new way to network.
Susan Crutcher is setting up a Power of Women Exchange chapter in Owen Sound.
The national organization, known as POWE , was founded in 2005 but this chapter will be the first in Grey Bruce.
Crutcher says they will meet once a month for 3 hours which will allow for structured and quality networking.
Crutcher says another unique feature is the ability for members to sign up to be a featured speaker and showcase what their business offers.
POWE also offers an educational program called Lunch and Learn that teaches newcomers to the business world about the basics.
Crutcher says POWE is a great opportunity to build contacts, grow your business, and make friends.
Crutcher is a local business coach and says she is looking forward to being the director of the local POWE chapter and sharing her experience and know-how.
A launch meeting is being held tomorrow at St. Mary’s Parish Hall on 15th Street East from 11 AM to 2 PM.
POWE founders Tina Dezsi and Lia Bandola will be the featured speakers.
Any Grey Bruce woman who works in or owns a business is welcome to join the local chapter and your membership also gets you into all other chapters’ meetings.
Crutcher says it’s 100 dollars for registration plus an annual 200 dollar membership fee.
To sign up you can call Crutcher at 519-534-2569 or visit the POWE website at www.powe.ca
