The Grey Bruce Health unit is launching the “Healthy Communities Ontario” strategy in Grey Bruce.
The keynote speaker for the dinner and reception Tuesday at 5 PM is Ontario Minister of Health Promotion, Margarett Best.
She will share her vision of the provinces’ initiative.
On Wednesday, a full conference will be held at the Bayshore community centre in Owen Sound.
There is a day-long series of presentations and sessions exploring strategies toward health community sustainablity.
The conference includes 22 diverse speakers, presentations and workshops, that will look at the roles of various government and non-government agencies in developing health communities.
Wednesdays’ conference is presented by the Grey Bruce health unit, the city of Owen Sound, Meaford, the Town of the Blue Mountains and area school boards.
