Hanover is looking to the future,
Hanover has contracted a firm to develop a corporate strategic plan for the town.
CAO Mike Dunlop calls the 32 thousand dollar venture a smart investment in Hanovers future.
Along with community leaders, the major stakeholders and business leaders, residents will also be consulted for their input.
At least two public meetings and a random phone survey of up to 200 homes will be conducted to gage the direction residents want to see the town move in.
Dunlop says Hanover wants to proactive not reactive and thats why its important to get this plan ready now.
He says the corporate strategic plan will also ensure that municipal visions, goals and policies tie in with this new direction.
The consulting firm is working within a tight timeline and should have the corporate strategic plan complete by late September.
This is the first time Hanover has ever developed a corporate strategic plan, its hoped it will guide the town for the next 15 to 20 years.
