Two water main breaks in Southampton left a number of residents without water service for a period of time today.
Saugeen Shores Engineering Technician Stu Doyle says the first break on South Rankin Street was repaired by noon, the second one on Eckford Avenue was repaired by shortly after 5 PM.
Doyle says both breaks were related to the ongoing sewer installation work at the north end of town.
Doyle reminds Southampton residents that while today’s interruptions were unplanned, there is a planned interruption on Tuesday along a major portion of Eckford Avenue.
That interruption will affect most residents on the west side of Bruce County Road 13, the Sauble Beach road.
Doyle says the planned interruption Tuesday will start at 9 AM and be in effect until 4 PM.
