Walking and running enthusiasts have a new place to get gear and information in Saugeen Shores.
Active Soles is now open in Port Elgin.
Owner Karen Gill – bought the running portion back from her previous business Scoreboard Sports Too.
It will now focus on hockey and other sports instead.
Active Soles now offers running and walking shoes for all sized feet.
Gill says they also have a treadmill in store to allow for a try before buy option.
She continues to hold walk-run clinics and has been sponsored for the last five years by Saucony.
Gill believes she can increase interest in those clinics and further assist those interested in those at the store.
Gill says they can also look at feet – and assess the right shoe for a person depending on pressure points, and gate and walk.
Active Soles is located beside Port’s Emporium on Goderich Street.
